CHOP’D EXPANDS SALAD BAR CHAIN WITH LAUNCH INTO SELFRIDGES
Chop’d, London’s fast growing gourmet salad bar chain, has launched its new concession into Selfridges foodhall, adding to the brand’s six retail outlets around London.
The further expansion of the Chop’d chain into Selfridges marks a significant opportunity to bring the successful proposition of healthy tailor-made salads to a wider consumer, whilst meeting the demand for healthy food on the go.
With such a prime site, the ambition for Chop’d is to capitalise on the high footfall of the Selfridges store and Oxford Street area. This will enable the company to tap into the influx of tourists and shoppers and broaden the fixed office and commuter trade it currently benefits from in its existing stores.
Since entering the market in 2004, Chop’d has grown rapidly with the success of the healthy fast food category, opening stores in prime locations across London, including Leadenhall Market, Canary Wharf, Curzon Street, St Pancras, Spitalfields and High Holborn.
Eddie Holmes, managing director, Chop’d said, “Our launch into Selfridges foodhall as a concession is a significant move for the brand that positions us favourably within the market. This is a prime spot for us in the heart of Oxford Street and we will be well placed to meet the consumer demand for healthy food on the go.”
Ewan Venters, food and restaurant director, Selfridges added, “The introduction of the Chop’d concession into Selfridges foodhall will provide our customers with a quality healthy food offering. We are confident that Chop’d will be successful in Selfridges.”
